Since little man is creeping up on his second birthday, it got me thinking and researching board games for 2-year-olds. Playing board games with my kids is a tradition I want to carry on for our family.

They’re more cognitively developed, and board games will only help them to enhance those skills further. Am I the only one that thinks finding half-decent board games for 2-year-olds these days is unbelievably hard?! Why does it seem to be that the days when toys stores were full of board games for 2-year-olds have ceased to exist?

Don’t get me wrong, I’m forever astounded by the advances in technology when it comes to my kid’s toys. But whatever happened to good old fashioned board games for toddlers? 

Kids love nothing more than spending time with their parents and siblings. Playing board games gives them that valuable time. How many times is your whole family together but not actually engaging?

Playing board games encourages everyone to put down their phones and switch on the TV in favor of some more quality time. Playing board games is proven to build emotional bonds, communication, and relieve stress.

Being a larger family mama, the ages of my kids are all over the place! It’s not easy finding board games that an 18-year-old, 13-year-old, 11-year-old, and 22 month-old can play together!

Despite the challenges of finding a board game that fits everyone, we always have a great time playing games together.
